Collective Kindness Project

Collective Kindness Project is a cash-based assistance project for households affected by the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, Türkiye.

The project, funded by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the World Food Program (UN WFP), was decided to be implemented within KIZILAYKART Platform with the support of the Turkish Ministry of Family and Social Services and AFAD.

Within the scope of the Project, which is planned to cover a period of 2 months in the pioneer phase, a monthly minimum subsistence assistance payment of 3,000 ₺ per household was made to the identified households based on the minimum expenditure basket.

After the 2-month project period ended and the assistance was provided, the third payment was made in August 2023 according to the following criteria

o 5600 TL to households that have withdrawn assistance in at least one of the 2 payment periods,
o 8600 TL for households with access barriers,
o 2600 TL to households that received both payments.

The fourth payment was made in November 2023, targeting households that had withdrawn their assistance from the bank in the third payment. The amount of assistance provided per household was 1,300 TL.
